  • Apple's Greg Joswiak speaks about the iPad Pro during an announcement of new products at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose CA Monday June 5

The annual Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is underway in San Jose, California, in the United States, and will last till tomorrow.

In essence, the iMac Pro is meant to replace the dustbin-shaped Mac Pro that Apple launched in 2013 and quickly forgot about afterwards. Additionally, depending on the size of the model, the new iMacs will support up to 32GB and 64GB RAM, twice as much as the previous generation. That said, rumor has it that Apple may also make a few surprise hardware announcements as well, including a new edgeless 10.5-inch iPad and a long-rumored Siri-based speaker created to go head to head with Amazon's Echo and Google Home.

There's also a new £1,249 13-inch MacBook Pro variant. The 15-inch MacBook Pro now comes standard with more powerful discrete graphics and more video memory, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro adds a new configuration.

The solid-state-drives (SSDs) in the new MacBook Pro are faster as well-up to 50 percent over the SSD in the previous models, according to Apple.

The rest of the Mac line will also be getting the Kaby Lake processor up to1.3 GHz Core i7 with Turbo Boost up to 3.6 GHz.

Trump to let Comey testify before Senate in Russian Federation probe
Trump has denied that either he or his campaign team in any way cooperated with Russian officials during last year's election. Comey's associates have indicated that he felt uncomfortable as USA president had sought to "compromise" FBI's independence.

Battery life on the new MacBooks is unchanged: Up to 10 hours of web browsing time, and up to 11 hours of iTunes movie playback.

The iMac Pro is targeted at heavy users who demand more from their desktops. Under the hood is an all-new centrifugal cooling system with two fans to draw heat away from the system's Xeon processor, which you can configure with eight, 10, or 18 cores. The GPU's powering this beast will be AMD's soon to be released VEGA platform with up to 16GB of VRAM and 400 GB/s of bandwidth. The iMac Pro will boast a built-in 10GB Ethernet port and four Thunderbolt 3 ports. All of the new models are available now.

These new, more powerful iMacs represent Apple making good on a vow to introduce PCs that cater to the professional market.

After unveiling the refreshed iMac desktops and MacBook Pro, AMD's Senior Vice President and Chief Architect disclosed the benchmark to the public. That's why customers still love the MacBook Air.
