Conte on FA Cup final: Moses was exhausted, he didn't dive intentionally

01 June, 2017, 01:19 | Author: Greg Santos

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte had to comment on the antic of Victor Moses, sent off in unceremonious fashion after attempting to trick the referee into awarding a penalty to the Blues midway through the second half of Saturday's FA Cup final against Arsenal.

"For the trust from my team-mates and my manager because being sidelined for such a long time, I suffered a lot this season because you want to contribute on the pitch. I think I have shown you that I have exactly the same commitment", he added.

"For me, the contract does not have special meaning but, because of the debate, maybe I should have sorted that out earlier".

Wenger has led Arsenal for the past 21 years, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.

And Wenger insists he drilled into his players that succeeding against Chelsea was more pertinent than what his own future holds.

"That's what I did not accept during the season and I will never accept it".

Hodgson has been out of work since quitting England after their 2-1 defeat against Iceland at Euro 2016 last summer - and apparently fancies another Premier League job. The more people that write me off, the stronger I get. I hope he calls it a day.

Saharanpur clash: Yogi govt suspends DM
He plans to visit Shabbirpur village, the epicentre of clashes between Dalits and Thakurs or Rajputs since last month. Reports said that the police stopped the Maharana Pratap procession after some Dalits informed the police.

"You can not make 35 years at the top level if you believe you're not the right man to do the job". If you can not forgive, you can not trust. Go somewhere and make a lame joke about his "turning circle" for all I care.

After the final, Wenger was once again critical of those Arsenal fans who have been demonstrating against him during matches this season. We play for the 99.9 per cent.

But if he does walk out, Wright, Arsenal's second-highest goalscorer of all time, says it has been total incompetence from the club's hierarchy to have allowed this situation to have arisen.

The BBC reported that this get together was not a formal board meeting, but a gathering at which Wenger's future will be discussed by the club's directors.

"I believe that I just want to do well for this club and apart from that I think it's down to the board members".

The Arsenal board is set to rubber-stamp Arsène Wenger's new two-year contract when they meet on Tuesday morning, as part of a detailed discussion about the club's direction.

Mertesacker was starting his first game of the season after spending the entire campaign on the sidelines with a knee injury.
