In another image, Mr Musk showed those boring machines being put into the tunnel. It's not boring at all.

Once the first tunnel has been cleared, the company wants to expand the tunnels throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. Watch below. These sleds would transport cars and automatically switching from one tunnel to the next.

He warned viewers that the fast-moving video might induce motion sickness or seizures in some. The scenario is depicted in an animation video posted on The Boring Company's website.

Below is a picture of boring machine segments that are being lowered into the starter tunnel at SpaceX.

Elon Musk has given the world its first real-life, non-CGI glimpse at his new venture's tunnel sled system.

Former Oklahoma AG Scott Pruitt to recuse himself from lawsuits against EPA
The move - which has been criticized by government watchdog groups and associations of scientists - is out of the playbook of U.S. However, Pruitt's chief of staff told the Washington Post that he thinks the fired members' reactions were out of line.

In a series of Twitter and Instagram posts, the billionaire brainiac showed off pictures of The Boring Company's experimental tunneling machine (nicknamed "Godot", after the famous Samuel Beckett in which the characters wait for something to happen, which doesn't happen).

The full length of the first tunnel will run from Los Angeles International Airport to Culver City, Santa Monica, Westwood and Sherman Oaks. Godot, he said, would be the name of the Boring Company's first big piece of equipment.

Mr Musk said that he hopes that the tunnels will soon be found all the way under Los Angeles. It is Gary's natural digging ability that is helping drive Musk's desire to build a more efficient drill, as he told audiences at the TED Conference.

Thankfully, it appears that Musk is doing just fine - and the Boring Company is in even better shape than we thought.

After completion, cars may be loaded onto a 125-mph "electric sled", which would allow a vehicle to be transported from "Westwood to LAX in 5 minutes", according to Musk.
