  • NES classic Uber

Everybody has their own theory as to why Nintendo pulled the plug on their very profitable NES Classic. Development on this mini console has already begun, and Nintendo is gearing up for a holiday release. Now, the company is selling a Mini version of its Super Nintendo following the same formula. Though as of now there is no information on the number of games, their names, or any other info, it is known that there's no shortage of classic titles on the system.

What we also got was more awful PAL conversions, that often ran at a quarter of the proper speed with ugly black borders. The SNES had one of the most rich libraries of any console in history. But a new report, suggesting that Nintendo is preparing to roll out a SNES Mini, sheds a new light on that revelation from last week.

But, if Nintendo does end up releasing an SNES Classic Edition, would the company be able to keep up with demand? It's not clear how popular the Big N expected the NES' return to be but, needless to say, it ended up being a runaway success, with stock having flown off the shelves much faster than it could be replenished.

Nintendo will release a mini version of the Super Nintendo during the 2017 holiday season, according to Eurogamer on Wednesday. Nintendo sure does know how to pluck on that nostalgia chord pretty hard, and for the most part, people respond.

The NES remake was so in-demand past year that when Target Australia restocked and began selling it in mid-December, the enormous amount of hopeful buyers crashed the site. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo's explicit about how long you'll be able to buy the mini SNES.

Last week, Nintendo dealt a crushing blow to retro gaming fans when it announced that it was discontinuing the uber-popular NES Classic Edition. Now Nintendo has discontinued the NES Classic in Europe as well.

The NES remake is compact and lightweight, and features a body that's only a fraction of the original Nintendo console's size. The console also had some of the best RPGs of the era, including Square's Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.
